- Inbound and outbound work together on LinkedIn: content warms the audience your outreach targets.
- Consistency beats volume — 20 good invites a day compounds fast.
- Every lead should be enriched and tracked in a CRM from day one.
- Week 4 is for measuring and doubling down on the best segment.
LinkedIn has the richest B2B audience in the world, but it rewards patience and precision more than volume. The teams that consistently pull pipeline from it run a simple system every week. Here is that system as a 30-day plan.
Days 1–5: Build the foundation
Turn your profile into a landing page
- Headline: who you help and the outcome — “Helping B2B SaaS teams book 3x more demos from LinkedIn” beats “Account Executive at X”.
- About section: the problem, how you solve it, one proof point, one call to action.
- Featured: a case study, a short demo video or a useful guide.
Define one ICP segment
Pick a single segment you can describe in one sentence: industry, company size, region, buyer role and trigger. You'll add more later. Use our ICP framework to pressure-test it.
Days 6–10: Build a list worth contacting
Use Sales Navigator filters for headcount growth, function, seniority and recent activity, then save the search so new matches keep arriving. Enrich each lead with a verified email so your outreach isn't limited to LinkedIn. The full method is in the Sales Navigator lead generation playbook.
Days 11–20: Warm up and launch outreach
- Publish twice a week. One opinion post and one practical post about your buyer's problem.
- Engage before you connect. Like and comment on prospects' posts a few days before inviting them — see Engage Before You Pitch.
- Launch a sequence. Around 20 invites a day, a value-first message on acceptance and two follow-ups. Copy is in 7 LinkedIn message sequences.
- Add email and WhatsApp fallback. Prospects who don't accept within 7–10 days get the same story on another channel.
Days 21–30: Convert, measure and double down
Respond to every reply fast — within the hour if possible. Route interested prospects to a booking link and log everything in your CRM. Then look at the numbers per segment:
| Metric | Healthy range | If it's low |
|---|---|---|
| Acceptance rate | 30–50% | Tighten targeting, improve profile, warm up first |
| Reply rate (of accepted) | 10–25% | Shorter, more specific first message |
| Positive reply rate | 3–8% | Sharpen the offer and the ask |
| Meetings per 100 invites | 2–6 | Faster replies, easier booking |

Don't forget inbound from LinkedIn
Your posts, profile and outreach drive people to your website. Track who visits, capture them with a relevant lead magnet and follow up while interest is high. Our guides on website visitor identification and landing pages and lead magnets show how to close that loop.
The weekly LinkedIn lead gen rhythm
- Monday: review saved searches, add new leads.
- Tuesday & Thursday: publish a post.
- Daily: 15 minutes of genuine engagement; reply to every message.
- Friday: check metrics, withdraw old invites, adjust copy.
